FAQs & Guidelines

Rates

Our rates include the use of the entire venue unless otherwise specified. Because we only host one event per weekend, we do not offer discounts for Friday weddings.

We are available for reception only rental if you have your ceremony elsewhere.

We do offer a $500 discount for couples who are active military.

Cancellations

Deposits and payments are non-refundable.

In the event you need to reschedule, the deposit and any payments may be transferred to a new date if there is an open date available to reschedule.

In the event of a weather delay, we suggest the barn as an alternative as it is covered with doors that you can close to avoid weather conditions, if needed. 

Inclement Weather

There is no additional charge to utilize the available indoor space, included in your rental, should inclement weather prevent the event from taking place outdoors.

 

Venue Capacity

Our property is flexible for hosting small intimate groups to 200 guests.

Parking

Parking is near the barn but out of the way of event spaces and pictures. There is parking for those who need a short walk available nearest the venue, and additional parking available out of site.

Live Music

All surround sound based music (yes, you can use a personal sized speaker) must end at 9 PM due to our rural surroundings. We do have adjacent property owners and want to respect their property, in addition to the wildlife nearby.

Decorations

While we aspire to provide decorative options in the future, we currently recommend using a third-party vendor for any decor. At this time, the venue includes wired speakers, outdoor lighting, and restroom necessities—all other decorations can be coordinated separately to best fit your event’s style and needs.

What we lack of fluff – we make up for in fun with available lawn games such as: bocce balls, giant jenga (x2), corn hole (x2), and ping pong tables (x2).

Restrooms

Yes, we have one male and one female bathroom. Beyond 50 guests, the Renter is required to rent additional portal facilities. Supplied by GrandValley farms at $100 per that parta-bathroom.

Smoking

No smoking or vaping is allowed in or around the building at the venue. We ask that you smoke in outdoor areas and dispose of any butts in designated containers. This will be STRICTLY enforced.

Alcohol on Property

Alcohol is allowed at Grand Valley Farms provided it is a private event, but it is not provided by the venue. You are responsible for the serving and monitoring of the alcoholic beverages.

Liability

Grand Valley Farms requires proof of wedding liability insurance to be purchased within 30 days of the event. We are not responsible for inclement weather or lost or stolen items.

Damages

The client is responsible for any and all damages to any and all structures of the venue.

Photos

We do allow photos to be taken on a date prior to the wedding if you would like. You would need to contact us to set up a time so we can be prepared for you.

Tours

We would be happy to welcome you to Grand Valley Farms and give you a tour. You would just need to contact us to set up a time.

Accessibility

While we are not ADA Compliant yet, we have taken accessibility into account and aspire to become ADA compliant as we further develop the property. We do; however, have “VIP” parking for a limited number of cars than we suggest be reserved for handicap. Bathrooms are wheelchair friendly, and the barn is primarily on one floor, along with a women and men’s restroom.

Tables & Chairs

At this time, we do not offer table and chair rental. We suggest using an outside vendor.

Is there a Bonfire area?

Yes! Pictures at sunset with a fire are truly stunning.
